Pep Guardiola confirms that Phil Foden and Ruben Dias are set to return against Wolves

Pep Guardiola has confirmed the return of Phil Foden and Ruben Dias to the Manchester City squad for this weekend’s crucial Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers. The pair missed last weekend’s 2-nil win over Nottingham Forest due to illness. Pep Guardiola has confirmed today that the pair are set to return to the City squad for tomorrow’s match.

Pep Guardiola was asked about the status of Phil Foden and Ruben Dias for tomorrow’s game during his pre-game press conference. Guardiola told the media the pair were available, and he also has a positive update on Ederson’s status: “Phil Foden and Ruben Dias are okay. (Ederson’s injury) looked worse than it is. He trained yesterday and feels good. He could be back against Wolves.”

The Manchester City manager was also asked about Erling Haaland’s availability for City’s crucial match against Wolves. When Pep Guardiola was asked if Haaland was fit to play at the Etihad, he simply answered: “Yes.”

It would appear that Manchester City will have their entire squad available for tomorrow’s match. Given the stakes at this time of the season, it is a massive boost for the champions. With Ederson, Phil Foden, Ruben Dias, and Erling Haaland all fit and ready to contribute, Pep Guardiola will have a full squad to pick from for tomorrow’s match.
